2027 Music Festival Calendar: Dates, Night Temperatures and What to Pack for 66 Festivals

|Magus Fawn

A new calendar hangs on the wall with twelve empty squares, and the festival year is already writing itself in. A jungle night near Tulum in January. A ski resort high in the French Alps in March. Redwoods and river water in July. Alkali dust rising over the Nevada desert as August turns into September.

We're Magus and Lylyth Fawn, visionary artists in Los Angeles, and this is the calendar we always wanted: 66 festivals from our guides, month by month, with every official 2027 date we could confirm, a sourced night low and the layer level we'd pack.

What are the music festival dates for 2027?

As of October 23, 2026, 41 of the 66 festivals below have posted official 2027 dates, from Day Zero Tulum on January 9 to Burning Man's desert city from August 29 to September 6. The other 25 read TBA with their usual timing. We checked each confirmed date on the festival's official site that day.

How the layer level works. We set it from the typical night low: 1 light layers (60°F, about 16°C, or warmer), 2 a hoodie (50–59°F), 3 a cloak (40–49°F), 4 a cloak zipped over a hoodie or other warm layers (below 40°F, about 4°C). When a source gives a range, the lower number decides. We only list a night low that an official festival FAQ, NOAA, the National Weather Service or a national weather service publishes; where we haven't sourced one yet, the low and the layer show a dash.

Dates as of October 23, 2026. Night lows are long-term averages, never forecasts.

NOAA's 1991–2020 climate normals at the nearest station, the National Weather Service offices linked in each row, Météo-France, Belgium's RMI, the Dutch KNMI, the UK Met Office, and each festival's own FAQ or survival guide where it publishes one. Winter 2027: snow, desert cold and a countdown

The coldest squares sit at both ends of the year: Tomorrowland Winter's March nights below freezing in Alpe d'Huez, then Decadence's Denver December, where the average low is 18°F. Our winter rave guide and ski and snow festival guide dress those nights, and our New Year's Eve rave guide covers the three countdowns in December. For the frostiest list in North America, see the coldest music festivals.

Spring 2027: Miami, the polo fields and a lake

March through May packs 20 festivals into 13 weeks, and the night lows swing from Miami's 66°F to Beyond Wonderland's 46°F in the same weekend. Our spring festival outfits guide walks the season month by month, from Ultra to Movement.

Summer 2027: forests, farms and the playa

June, July and August hold 26 of our 66 festivals, and the hoodie is the hardest-working layer: most sourced summer lows land between 50°F and 59°F. Pack the cloak for Burning Man's playa nights in the 40s, and lean on our guide to staying cool at a summer festival for the afternoons.

Fall 2027: bass in the hills, costumes in the moss

Every date from September through November still reads TBA as of today, but the patterns hold: Lost Lands in September, Wakaan and Hulaween in October, EDC Orlando and Dreamstate in November. Our fall festival outfits guide layers the season from September sun to November frost.

Resting in 2027

A few familiar names sit this year out. Bonnaroo's official site says it is "taking a much-needed year off in 2027" (bonnaroo.com), and Envision's team writes that it does "not see a path to a 2027 festival" (envisionfestival.com). Our guide to the best festivals of 2027 keeps the longer list of breaks and hiatuses.

Five Magus Fawn pieces for every layer level

Magus Fawn makes visionary art you can wear from a level 1 lakeshore afternoon to a level 4 mountain night. These five cover the calendar, cloak first.

Smiling woman at a sunlit festival field in the Feathery Fractal women's festival cloak, hood up and open to show its white faux-fur lining over a violet bodysuit

Level 3 and 4, the investment piece. The Feathery Fractal women's festival cloak ($250) is our pick for a desert night that drops into the 40s: emerald and teal fractal lace curls around violet and indigo swirls, and a dark diamond medallion anchors the back like a gem set in plumage. Micro-mink outside, an ultra-soft faux-fur lining in black or white inside, a double front zipper, four pockets and a unisex fit from XS to 5XL. On the playa, it turns the cold hour into the best part of the night, and on a level 4 night in the Alps or Denver it zips right over a hoodie.

Back view of the Liquified Abyss women's festival cloak at a festival field: marbled currents of magenta, navy, coral, gold and teal

Level 3 by the water. For lakes, rivers and harbors, the Liquified Abyss women's festival cloak ($250) pours marbled currents of magenta, navy, coral, gold and teal down the back, like light moving under deep water. It's the same faux-fur-lined zipper cloak build, ready for Hulaween's riverside nights or the walk between Countdown NYE's halls.

For camp mornings and chalet nights. The Madriax Grey hooded blanket with ears ($150) blooms a stone-grey lotus at the center of the back, wrapped in rings of beaded circles with Om symbols tucked between them, while hexagon cells climb the shoulders and a band of glyphs runs along the hem. It's 300 g/m² poly fleece, an oversized one-size pullover (4XL) with a cat-ear hood, a front quarter zip and an oversized front pocket: the layer for a slow coffee at camp or the chalet afters at Tomorrowland Winter.

Man at a festival at golden hour in the Celestial Temple crushed velvet hoodie: violet and cobalt starfield velvet with gold temple filigree and a radiant mandala at the chest

Level 2, the summer workhorse. The Celestial Temple crushed velvet hoodie ($100) layers gold temple filigree and glowing teal orbs over a violet and cobalt starfield, with a radiant mandala at the heart. It's 240 g/m² crushed velvet with a drawstring hood and a kangaroo pocket, in S–2XL, the right weight for the 50s that most sourced summer nights land in.

Back view of the Golden Phoenix cotton sleeveless hooded tank at a festival: gilded wings with violet, blue and teal feathers spread around a glowing green orb

Level 1, for the warm nights. The Golden Phoenix cotton sleeveless hooded tank ($80) spreads violet, blue and teal feathered wings around a glowing green orb, above rows of gilded spires. It's 100% cotton at a listed 310 g/m², with a front kangaroo pocket and a drawstring hood, sized XS–5XL, for Ultra's 66°F bayfront nights and EDC Orlando's mild November.

One size up for the layers. Our FAQ suggests sizing up for outerwear like cloaks and hoodies, "sometimes even 2 sizes up to fit extra layers under." Not sure? Email your measurements to art@magusfawn.com.

The five-week rule. Every Magus Fawn piece is made to order: 7–11 business days of production, then 6–14 business days of delivery. Count back 25 business days from the day it needs to be in your hands, which is five full weeks when no US holiday falls inside them. Each festival guide linked in the calendar carries its own order-by date. US shipping is free at $70+, international shipping starts at $10, and all sales are final.

Browse by layer level: women's cloaks · men's cloaks · hooded blankets · crushed velvet · cotton sleeveless hoodies

Circle your squares, set a reminder five weeks ahead of each one, and let the calendar fill up with dance floors.
