The last thing under the tree is an envelope, flat as a boarding pass.
Inside is a photograph printed on heavy paper: a cloak seen from behind, cobalt swirls pouring from hood to hem, a festival stage glowing beyond it. On the back, in your handwriting: Lands in January. You're wearing this on Virginia Key in February. Your friend reads it twice, laughs, and props the photo against the cocoa tin. By February the cloak is on their shoulders at the beach burn, and the photo is on the fridge, a memory now too.
That's the secret of a gift that arrives after Christmas: the waiting becomes part of it.
We're Magus and Lylyth Fawn, Los Angeles visionary artists, and every piece we sell is made to order. Once the Christmas cut-off passes, we won't pretend a new order will beat the tree. Here's the better plan: a printed reveal now and a well-timed handoff later, for New Year's, a birthday or their next 2027 festival.
What happens if you order a Christmas gift after the cut-off?
It arrives after Christmas, and it's still a wonderful gift. Nothing at Magus Fawn is made before you order: 7–11 business days of production, then 6–14 of delivery. Tuesday, November 17, 2026 is the last date our longest times reach Christmas Eve, so anything ordered later belongs to the new year.
At our longest times, an order lands like this:
| Order placed on | Reaches you by, at our longest times | The handoff it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Wed, Nov 18 | Mon, Dec 28 | The quiet week between the holidays |
| Mon, Nov 23 | Thu, Dec 31 | New Year's Eve |
| Tue, Dec 1 | Thu, Jan 7 | A January birthday |
| Tue, Dec 15 | Fri, Jan 22 | Love Burn in February |
Business days skip weekends, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Our windows have a faster end: mid-range timing reaches Christmas Eve from orders by Wednesday, November 25, and our quickest pace from orders by Monday, December 7. Those are hopeful numbers, not promises, so this guide plans for after the wrapping paper.
Shopping on or before November 17? You're in time, and our warm-gift guide and the gifts under $75 list are the place to start.
How do you wrap a gift that hasn't arrived yet?
Wrap the art itself. Print a photo of the Magus Fawn piece you ordered from its product page, frame it or roll it with a ribbon, and add a note that says when it arrives and where they'll wear it. The reveal happens on Christmas morning, and the fabric shows up in time for the next adventure.
A few touches turn a photo into a proper present:
- Choose the back view. Cloaks and hoodies carry their biggest art across the back.
- Print it big. Photo paper at 8 × 10 inches or larger, in a simple frame, is a gift you can hold.
- Write the itinerary on the back. The arrival week, the event, the night you picture them wearing it.
- Add one thing for tonight. A playlist, a mug of cocoa, a handwritten ticket to the living-room dance floor.

If you print one photo this season, make it a cloak. It's the biggest gift we make and the one worth waiting for: printed edge to edge, lined in the black or white faux fur you pick at checkout, and built to come along to festivals for years. Metallic Blue Fractal pours cobalt, navy and midnight blue into curling fractal feathers, like ink turning slowly in deep water. The Metallic Blue Fractal men's festival cloak ($250) has a double front zipper, heavy drawstrings and four pockets; unisex fit, XS to 5XL (read the story behind it: Frost on Steel).
Its natural date is Love Burn, February 11–14, 2027, on Miami's Virginia Key beaches, with a 2027 theme of "SHOWTIME!" per the official ticket page. A cloak earns its keep when the beach wind turns cool after dark. Our Love Burn guide puts the order-by date at Monday, December 28 on our longest times.
Which 2027 festivals can a late Christmas gift still reach?
Love Burn in February, Ultra in late March and Coachella's two April weekends all leave room, with order-by dates from late December to mid-February on our longest production and delivery times. Day Zero Tulum on January 9 is the exception: its order-by date is November 17, the same day as Christmas, so it suits early shoppers only.
| Their next festival | 2027 dates, per the official site | Order by, at our longest times | Our outfit guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day Zero Tulum | Jan 9 (dayzerofestival.com) | Tue, Nov 17 (home by Dec 24) | Day Zero Tulum outfits |
| Love Burn | Feb 11–14 (theloveburn.com) | Mon, Dec 28 | Love Burn outfits (linked above) |
| Ultra Miami | Mar 26–28 (ultramusicfestival.com) | Thu, Feb 11 | Ultra outfits |
| Coachella | Apr 9–11 and Apr 16–18 (coachella.com) | Wed, Feb 10 | Coachella outfits |
The New Year's handoff: a cloak for the morning after

New Year's Eve gives you six extra days: an order placed by Monday, November 23 arrives by December 31 at our longest times. Our Countdown NYE guide covers San Bernardino's big night. This gift covers the slow, happy morning after: the first walk of the new year, glitter still on their cheeks and the air sharp enough to want a hood.
Ophanim looks like the sky just after the last firework fades. Violet and amethyst fleece is swept with lavender feathered fronds and fine gold and copper starbursts, and on the back a pale blossom of light opens over a Flower of Life lattice, above a glowing gold grid at the hem. The Ophanim women's festival cloak ($250) has the same faux-fur-lined, double-zip, four-pocket build as the reveal cloak above, unisex in XS–5XL (read the story behind the design: Wheels Within Wheels).
Ordering after November 23? Make New Year's Day the reveal: frame the photo, write "New year, new layer" on the back, and let the cloak arrive for the first cold weekend of 2027.
For the Ultra regular: velvet for the bayfront

Ultra's 27th edition returns to Miami's Bayfront Park on March 26, 27 and 28, 2027, and Miami in March calls for bare arms. Order by Thursday, February 11, even on our longest times.
Golden Phoenix is the rebirth bird on black: a winged figure rising from a glowing green-and-gold medallion, feathers fanning out in violet, blue, teal and gold. The Golden Phoenix crushed velvet tank ($60) is 240 g/m² crushed velvet (95% poly, 5% spandex), sleeveless with a crew neck, regular fit, S–5XL. Its page says the velvet "catches every LED, laser, and stage light" (read the story behind it: The Fourth Feather).
For the Coachella crew: a cloak and cotton for Indio after dark

Coachella's polo fields run hot by day and cool fast after dark. Order by Wednesday, February 10 and it's home weeks before the first weekend.
For the desert night, give the big one. Orange Shroom Flower of Life burns like a desert sunset on fabric: flame orange and scarlet, a column of orbs rising up the spine through spiky golden blooms, and a swirling gold-and-green medallion near the hem. The Orange Shroom Flower of Life women's festival cloak ($250) shares the Metallic Blue Fractal build, unisex in XS–5XL. Read a story built on the design: The Biggest Tree on the Hill.

For the friend who runs warm, the lighter layer: Cosmic Knight reads like an antique star chart, midnight navy and black covered in pale silver-blue starbursts, rings and fine lines. The Cosmic Knight cotton pullover hoodie ($100) is 100% cotton at 310 g/m², with a front kangaroo pocket and a drawstring hood, regular fit, XS–6XL. The page notes "an estimated 3-5% shrinkage after the first wash."
The birthday handoff

Got a raver with a January or February birthday? A December order becomes a two-part present: the photo at Christmas, the real thing on their birthday.
Universal Consciousness puts a dreaming face on the front panel, pale gold hair drifting into a violet and blue cosmos of lacy fractals, with a small glowing circle on her brow. The Universal Consciousness snapback ($40) is one size fits most with an adjustable snapback closure, in 150 g/m² poly. KLC's five-star review from September 2023, on the same page, reads: "A Goddess cap being the perfect gift for a Goddess and friend."
For a winter birthday, pick something they'll wear that week. Forest Wizard Teal hangs antlered skulls in olive and bronze, pink roses and spiked golden sunbursts over carved teal and slate stone. The Forest Wizard Teal joggers ($100; $105 in 2XL, $108 in 3XL) have a cotton-feel face, brushed vegan fleece inside, side pockets and cuffed legs, at a listed 308 g/m², slim fit, XS–3XL. The page's fit tip: "For a looser fit order 1-2 sizes up!" (read the story behind it: The Trader in the Wizard Cloak).

The small print for a surprise still in production
- Guessing a size? Cloaks like room for layers, so size up; our FAQ says "sometimes even 2 sizes up to fit extra layers under." Our cloak sizing guide and size-range guide go deeper. Or email a favorite garment's measurements to art@magusfawn.com; we typically reply within 1–2 business days.
- Made once, for them. Because each piece is sewn to order, every sale is final, apart from the EU's 14-day cooling-off period (unused, tags still on). Damaged or wrong on arrival? Email photos within 48 hours of delivery.
- Postage, sorted. US orders of $70 or more ship free, smaller ones ship for $8, and international shipping starts at $10.

The tree comes down, the photo stays up, and somewhere in 2027 a dance floor is waiting for the rest of the gift.
Frequently asked questions
Is it OK to give a Christmas present after Christmas?
Yes. A late present stretches the holiday, and a second round of unwrapping is a happy bonus. Say so on the day: give a card, a photo or a note that names what's coming and when. For made-to-order clothing from Magus Fawn, a handoff in January or at their next festival can feel even more personal.
What do you write in a card for a gift that's still on its way?
Name the gift, the arrival week and the moment you picture them using it. Something like: "Your cloak is being made right now. It lands in January, and it's coming with you to Love Burn." A specific date and place turns the wait into anticipation, and the card becomes a keepsake.
What is an IOU gift?
An IOU gift is a written promise of a present that will be delivered later, such as a voucher, a handmade coupon or a card describing the gift. It works best when it's concrete: a photo of the actual item, its arrival date and a plan for when you'll hand it over together.
