Music Festivals in Florida 2027: From Bayfront Miami to the Suwannee Woods

|Magus Fawn

Spanish moss sways from the live oaks above your tent, silver-green and dripping with river fog.

Somewhere past the trees, a jam band is stretching one song into its twentieth minute, and the whole campground hums along. Three hundred miles south, salt wind lifts the flags on a Miami beach, and the skyline across the water glows like a stage set built just for the weekend.

Music festivals in Florida split the state into two moods. In the north, there are river woods, costumes and chilly October nights. In the south, there's warm bayfront air, beach burns and the bass rolling across Biscayne Bay until the city lights take over.

Magus and Lylyth Fawn, the Los Angeles visionary artists behind these layers, keep a bag packed for the Sunshine State. Here are the Florida festivals to know for 2027, with official dates, honest status notes and what to wear to each.

Which music festivals are happening in Florida in 2027?

Two Florida gatherings already have 2027 dates: Love Burn, the Virginia Key beach burn, on February 11–14, and Ultra at Miami's Bayfront Park on March 26–28. Suwannee Hulaween and EDC Orlando return in the fall with dates TBA, while Okeechobee is taking a break with no 2027 edition.

Dates and status come from each organizer's site as of October 2026, and the night figures are seasonal norms rather than forecasts.

Five Florida gatherings, from Tinker Field to the Suwannee

We've listed them in calendar order, starting with the gates that open soonest after this guide goes live.

1. EDC Orlando: an Insomniac weekend at Tinker Field

EDC Orlando brings Insomniac's carnival-bright rave to Tinker Field on November 6–8, 2026. The official guide lists 1 p.m. to midnight, 18+ entry, no re-entry, no camping, and a "rain or shine" promise. Early-November Orlando nights average around 60°F per the National Weather Service. 2027 dates are TBA.

Woman before a brightly lit festival main stage in the Sacred Geo V-neck bodysuit: a lavender and pale-blue Flower of Life lattice on deep plum with a plunging neckline

Outfit note: a light base that glows under stage lights. The Sacred Geo V-neck bodysuit ($55) repeats a Flower of Life lattice in lavender, pale blue and blush across deep plum, like a stained-glass window at night. It's 180 g/m² microfiber (95% poly, 5% spandex) with an open back, a plunging V-neck and a snap closure, in XS–2XL.

Front view of the Electric Dragonscape cargo shorts on a festival field: a silver-white horned dragon head among cobalt, sky-blue and violet scales with a blue jeweled medallion

For the guys, pockets matter when there's no going back to the car. The Electric Dragonscape cargo shorts ($65; $70 in 4XL–5XL) curl a silver-white horned dragon through cobalt, sky-blue and violet scales above a blue jeweled medallion. They're a denim-like 190 g/m² poly with a button waistband and multiple cargo pockets, in S–5XL. Our EDC Orlando outfits guide covers the rules and the full look.

2. Love Burn: a beach burn on Virginia Key

Love Burn calls itself "a weekend participatory arts event in Miami," and it returns to the Virginia Key beaches on February 11–14, 2027, with the theme "SHOWTIME!" It keeps a burner spirit: its principles page says it is "no longer affiliated in any way with Burning Man as of 2024," yet it is still inspired by the Ten Principles, with consent added. Expect sea-breeze nights of 60–68°F and a beachfront burn with the skyline across the water.

Man seen from behind at a festival in the Golden Phoenix crushed velvet tank: a gold and teal phoenix with violet and blue wings around a glowing green mandala

Outfit note: a showpiece by day, a warm layer by night. The Golden Phoenix crushed velvet tank top ($60) spreads a gold and teal phoenix across the back, its violet and blue wings fanning around a glowing green mandala, made for an evening by the effigy. It's 240 g/m² crushed velvet (95% poly, 5% spandex), listed as lightweight, with a crew neck, in S–5XL. Keep velvet and every layer well back from the flames.

Love Burn's survival guide warns that "strong winds are common daily" and packs a "warm coat - furry or otherwise," so bring a hooded layer for the burn. Our Love Burn outfits guide has the Showtime looks, and our regional burn guide explains how burns work.

3. Ultra Music Festival: skyscrapers above the Main Stage

Ultra celebrates its 27th edition at Bayfront Park on March 26–28, 2027, with tickets already on sale and a first lineup posted. Ultra's help center carries the dates and daily hours. Big-room and house fill the Main Stage under the downtown towers, techno lives at Resistance, and humid nights hold at 68–75°F.

Back view of a woman in the Psytrance one-piece swimsuit on a sunlit festival field before a main stage: marbled swirls of magenta, violet, lime and aqua

Outfit note: dress for the heat, then dance. The Psytrance one-piece swimsuit ($65; $68 in 2XL, $69 in 3XL) swirls magenta, violet, lime, gold and aqua together like paint poured on water, and it works as a festival bodysuit. It's 225 g/m² four-way stretch (75% recycled poly, 25% elastane) with a double-layer front, a scoop neck and a low scoop back, listed as quick-dry, in XS–3XL. (Read the jungle story behind it: The Waterfall at 145 BPM.) Our Ultra outfits guide covers Resistance blacks and men's looks.

4. Okeechobee: The Portal is resting

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival returned to Sunshine Grove on March 19–22, 2026, after a two-year hiatus, with its Aquachobee lake beach, the Jungle 51 stage and late-night PoWoW! jams. In September 2026, the organizers announced there will be no 2027 edition while they "reimagine and rework" the festival, signing off: "We'll be in touch when The Portal reopens" (EDM Identity has the full statement). The official site lists no 2027 dates.

Outfit note: keep your grove-and-lake kit ready for its return. For a taste of a March night in a central Florida grove, read our lost-and-found story Twelve Cloaks Before Sunrise, set at a fictional festival with a lake beach and a sunrise trance set.

5. Suwannee Hulaween: costumes under the Spanish moss

Hulaween gathers at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak the weekend before Halloween. Its 13th year ran October 22–25, 2026, with jam, bass and house, String Cheese playing three nights and Spirit Lake glowing with art among moss-draped oaks. The Hulaween FAQ says nights drop "to the 40s and 50s." 2027 dates are TBA.

Man before a festival main stage in the Cyber Punk Mech cotton pullover hoodie: cobalt, teal and violet mechanical forms mirrored down the front, traced with white sacred-geometry lines

Outfit note: a costume by day, a hoodie for the foggy dawn. The Cyber Punk Mech cotton pullover hoodie ($100) mirrors cobalt, teal and violet machinery down the body, traced with white sacred-geometry lines and a flower-of-life circle near the hem. It's 100% cotton at 310 g/m² with a kangaroo pocket and drawstring, in XS–6XL; expect 3–5% shrinkage after the first wash. (Story: Eleven Fifty-Nine.) Our Hulaween costume guide and the Spirit Lake love story Meet Me at the Lake at 4 A.M. set the scene.

Why do Florida festivals skip the summer months?

Florida's festival calendar follows its weather. The state has a rainy season from May through October, when afternoon thundershowers build in the heat, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Most events land in the drier, milder months from late October to March instead.

Wikipedia's Climate of Florida describes "a defined rainy season from May through October," with a dry season that settles in during October and "lasts until late April most years." The National Hurricane Center confirms that "the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30."

That gives Florida two festival windows:

  • Fall in the north and center: Hulaween in late October and EDC Orlando in early November, when days are warm and nights turn crisp.
  • Winter and spring in the south: Love Burn in February and Ultra in late March, when Miami trades summer storms for sea breezes. Okeechobee filled the March slot in central Florida in 2026.

For a Florida trip, pack one outfit for the sun and one layer for after dark. Even in March, a lake breeze or a passing front can cool things fast, which is why the veterans keep a hoodie in the bag.

Where can you camp at a Florida music festival?

Hulaween is the classic Florida camping festival: its 4-Day GA passes include primitive camping at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, first come, first served. Love Burn is a camp-out too, with tents on Virginia Key. EDC Orlando and Ultra are city events, and EDC's official guide lists no camping.

A few camping notes from the official pages:

  • Hulaween: car and RV passes are sold separately, and the FAQ adds that camping isn't required, with hotels in Live Oak and Lake City for anyone who prefers a bed.
  • Love Burn: the survival guide asks for full-size tent stakes, real bedding and blankets, because the beach wind keeps every camp on its toes.
  • Okeechobee: its organizers promise the next edition "will still be Okee at its core with camping," whenever The Portal reopens.

For a full kit list, see our cold-weather festival packing list. Florida nights are kinder than Nevada's, but a 40s°F dawn at the Suwannee rewards the same habits.

Dressing for Florida: sun, salt air and the river fog

Florida asks for two outfits in one bag. Daytime calls for light, quick pieces you can sweat in; night calls for one hooded layer for the beach wind or the river fog.

Woman at a festival wearing the Angel Catcher Yellow snapback: yellow-gold feathered wings and copper-ringed sacred-geometry medallions on charcoal with a dotted black brim

A brim earns its spot from Bayfront Park to the Suwannee campsites. The Angel Catcher Yellow snapback ($40) spreads yellow-gold feathered wings between copper-ringed sacred-geometry medallions on charcoal, with a dotted black brim to shade your eyes. It's 150 g/m² poly with an adjustable snapback closure, one size fits most. The same angel-wing art runs through the cloaks in Twelve Cloaks Before Sunrise, our Florida lost-and-found story.

Florida weekend Sunlit hours Once the stars come out
EDC Orlando, November Bodysuit or tank, cargo shorts A light hoodie for the walk out
Love Burn, February Swimwear for wading, costume pieces A warm hooded layer for the wind
Ultra, late March Swimsuit-as-bodysuit or tank, snapback The same outfit; the night stays warm
Hulaween, late October Costume and sneakers Cotton hoodie for the 40s–50s°F dawn

Size and timing. Our FAQ suggests sizing up for outerwear like hoodies, "sometimes even 2 sizes up to fit extra layers under." Every piece is made to order: 7–11 business days of production, then 6–14 business days of delivery. Using that longest window, Love Burn shoppers should order by Monday, December 28, 2026, and Ultra shoppers by Thursday, February 11, 2027. All sales are final, and US shipping is free at $70+.
