June afternoons at Tucson's airport peak at 101.2°F on average, and that one number explains Arizona's festival calendar better than any lineup. While most states pack their stages away in October, Arizona saves its big weekends for the cool months: New Year's at Phoenix Raceway, Gem & Jam until 4 a.m. in February, a burn near Willcox in April.
The catch comes after dark. That same station averages 40.8°F on January nights, and Flagstaff's airport, 4,454 feet higher, falls to 42.5°F by September.
We design festival cloaks for those hours. Here are ten Arizona festivals for 2026–27, dated from the organizers' own sites on October 30, 2026, with NOAA lows and a wardrobe to follow.

Lows are NOAA airport normals, useful for planning, not forecasts. Phoenix-area rows borrow Tucson's, though the Valley sits 1,400 feet lower and runs milder; Willcox and Sedona, between the stations, get both. Nevada, Utah and New Mexico are in our Southwest festival guide, and the 2027 calendar covers every month.
Bass, glitter and a volunteer-built burn
Gem & Jam: a Tucson fairground open until 4 a.m. (February 5–7)
Gem & Jam turns 18 at the Pima County Fairgrounds on February 5–7, 2027, with Lotus, Russ Liquid, Tape B, VNSSA and The California Honeydrops on the posted lineup. Per the festival FAQ, the grounds stay open until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and walk-in camping comes free with a weekend pass.
Outfit note: Gem & Jam's suggested-items list wants your favorite hoodie and extra layers "for warm days and COLD nights." Add a cloak over the hoodie for the last set; what we'd wear to Gem & Jam layers it zone by zone.
M3F: Fisher, Thundercat and Joji in a Phoenix park (March 5–6)
M3F comes back to Phoenix's Steele Indian School Park on March 5–6, 2027, and its music page lists Fisher, Joji, Thundercat, Flying Lotus and BLOND:ISH. The M3F FAQ describes a fully cashless park with water stations throughout and a bike valet by the Central Avenue entrance.
Outfit note: a cotton tee in the afternoon sun, with a cloak over one arm until the headliner.
Saguaro Man: Arizona's regional burn at Willcox (April 21–25)
Saguaro Man is Arizona's official regional Burning Man event, built by AZ Burners volunteers in Willcox on April 21–25, 2027, under the theme "Honey, We Shrunk the Playa." Public sales start at noon on December 1, 2026 ($150 early bird; $200 from January 1). The Saguaro Man primer sums it up: no main stage, nothing for sale, music from theme camps and art cars.
Outfit note: Willcox sits 1,600 feet above Tucson's airport, so expect nights well under 53.3°F. For the mood, read Brushes Down on the Last Note, our story of a live painter at a desert bass festival.
Phoenix's fall run: HEX, Obsidian and Decadence (2026 dates; 2027 TBA)
Relentless Beats, promoting dance music in Arizona since 1996, runs the Valley's big fall electronic weekends. Its 2026 slate: HEX at Rawhide in Chandler (October 30–31, 18+), Obsidian at Eastlake Park (November 6–7) and Decadence Arizona at Phoenix Raceway on December 30–31, with Chris Lake, Disclosure (DJ set), Polo & Pan and Zomboy.
Outfit note: two December nights at an open-air raceway, so wear the cloak from the first set. Our Decadence Arizona guide covers both nights and the coat check.
Jazz halls, a lakefront weekend and a country campout
Tucson Jazz Festival: nine days of clubs and concert halls (January 15–23)
The Tucson Jazz Festival fills halls and clubs across Tucson on January 15–23, 2027. Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue play the Fox Tucson Theatre on January 23.
Outfit note: mostly indoor shows, but the walks between venues meet 40.8°F nights. Pick a cloak that drapes over a theatre seat.
Innings Festival: three stages by Tempe Town Lake (February 26–28)
Innings Festival takes over Tempe Beach Park and the Arts Park on February 26–28, 2027: three stages, more than 28 rock, pop and indie acts, and baseball activities timed to spring training.
Outfit note: lakefront sun by day, a breeze off the water after dark. A snapback, then a hood.
Tucson Folk Festival: six free stages downtown (April 2–4)
The Tucson Folk Festival returns April 2–4, 2027, with folk, roots and acoustic music on six stages. Now 42 years running, it comes from the nonprofit Tucson Kitchen Musicians Association, which calls it one of the country's largest free music festivals.
Outfit note: afternoons near 83°F, nights near 53°F. A bright tee, one warm layer in the bag.
Country Thunder Arizona: four days at AZ Talio Ranch (April 8–11)
Country Thunder Arizona brings Megan Moroney, Florida Georgia Line, Jordan Davis and Carly Pearce to Florence on April 8–11, 2027. Its info page notes that children 10 and under enter general admission areas free with a valid GA ticket holder.
Outfit note: a brim for the noon sun, a hood once the campground cools.
Red rock and ponderosa: Sedona and Flagstaff
Sedona Yoga Festival: kirtan, sound healing and evening concerts (April 29–May 2)
The Sedona Yoga Festival is a yoga conference with music woven through it: April 29–May 2, 2027, with sound healing, kirtan and excursions, plus evening concerts on April 29 and May 3.
Outfit note: leggings for the mat, a cloak once the evening concerts start.
Pickin' in the Pines: bluegrass at Fort Tuthill (September 17–19)
Pickin' in the Pines holds its 21st edition at Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff on September 17–19, 2027, with camping on the grounds. The 2026 bill included The Infamous Stringdusters, Blue Highway and Kitchen Dwellers.
Outfit note: Flagstaff's airport averages 11 September nights at 40°F or below. Cloak for the encore, blanket for the tent.
Desert Hearts held its house and techno campout outside Flagstaff in 2024 and 2025, then skipped 2026; with no 2027 festival posted, our Desert Hearts guide waits for its return.
Two airports, 4,454 feet apart: Arizona's night numbers
Tucson International Airport (2,549 feet) speaks for the desert here, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (7,003 feet) for the pines. Flagstaff's lows run 23 to 25 degrees under Tucson's from December through April, and both stations swing roughly 25 to 32 degrees from afternoon to night.
| Month | Tucson high / low | Flagstaff high / low |
|---|---|---|
| December | 65.5°F / 40.5°F | 43.0°F / 16.9°F |
| January | 66.5°F / 40.8°F | 43.4°F / 17.6°F |
| February | 69.2°F / 43.2°F | 45.7°F / 19.6°F |
| March | 75.8°F / 48.0°F | 52.2°F / 23.8°F |
| April | 82.9°F / 53.3°F | 59.2°F / 28.2°F |
| September | 95.1°F / 70.4°F | 74.1°F / 42.5°F |

Copper, turquoise and sunrise orange for nights that drop 25 degrees
Six pieces in the desert's own palette, cloaks first.

Canyon copper. The Dream Weaver Orange men's festival cloak ($250) halves a gold wolf's face at the zipper, with amber waterfalls, pyramids and violet wings around it and copper scrolls at the hem: a canyon wall just after sundown. Our pick for Saguaro Man.
Saguaro Man's theme page describes playa country where "the wind blows." Every festival zipper cloak we sell meets it the same way: 200 g/m² micro-mink polyester over a faux-fur lining (black or white), a double zipper at the front, drawstrings on the hood and four pockets, the zipped one tucked inside. Unisex, XS–5XL.

Turquoise and gold on black. The Enochian Vision Teal women's festival cloak ($250) runs columns of antique-gold letters down the front, with teal flourishes curling over shoulders and sleeves. The back adds a teal pentagram between crescent moons, an Eye of Horus and an open book. The name comes from Enochian, a language its 16th-century English recorders said came from angels.

Desert bones in teal. The Forest Wizard Teal joggers ($100; $105 in 2XL, $108 in 3XL) run a bleached stag skull down one thigh, roses at its brow, over dark honeycomb with a teal band at the hip. Brushed fleece lines the 308 g/m² knit. The cut is slim (XS–3XL), so size up if thermals go underneath.

Sunrise on the legs. The Angel Catcher Orange yoga leggings ($70) fold orange, peach and rust feathers into wings across charcoal, with a white mandala inside a crimson rosette at each knee. Four-way stretch, 225 g/m², XS–XL: the Sedona mat at noon, under a cloak by night.

A temple wall for the brim. The Mystical Egypt snapback ($40) places a gold Egyptian figure among hieroglyphs on the side, gold geometry, Om symbols in blue swirls and a watching eye across the navy front. Luminous, writing about an Angel Catcher snapback in November 2023: "I love how it's fitted for winter warmth."

Flame for the folk stages. The Liquid Fire cotton t-shirt ($60) pools violet and cobalt over the chest and turns orange and red across the back, gold and lime streaking between, like a marbling tray mid-swirl. Sizes XS–5XL in 190 g/m² cotton, for a Tucson Folk afternoon.
A $150 hooded blanket for the burn perimeter
Saguaro Man has a temple burn, with a perimeter team keeping the circle back, and that means standing still on an April night at 4,170 feet. That wait is what our hooded blankets are for: a $150 cat-eared pullover in 300 g/m² polyester fleece, with a short neck zip, a pouch pocket across the front and one 4XL size for everyone. At Fort Tuthill it doubles as tent bedding.
Holiday weeks and winter festivals: our order-by dates
Each order starts from scratch: our partners in Chatsworth and China take 7–11 business days to make it, and delivery runs 6–14 more. We count 30 business days back (relaxed) or 25 (final) from the eve of each opening, skipping weekends and federal holidays, as our order-by guide explains.
- Tucson Jazz Festival (opens Friday, January 15): relaxed Tuesday, December 1; final Tuesday, December 8.
- Gem & Jam (opens Friday, February 5): relaxed Monday, December 21; final Tuesday, December 29.
- Innings Festival (opens Friday, February 26): relaxed Tuesday, January 12; final Wednesday, January 20.
Shopping for Christmas instead? Even at our slowest pace, an order placed by Tuesday, November 17 arrives by Christmas Eve. Wearing a hoodie underneath? Size up once, or even twice, as our FAQ advises. Because sales are final, measurements sent to art@magusfawn.com get a sizing reply before you commit. US shipping costs nothing from $70 up, so every cloak qualifies.
Following the art cars at Saguaro Man
Saguaro Man's guide says its art cars add energy "especially at night." After the temple burn the circle loosens, and a line of hoods follows one slow, glowing vehicle to the next camp's DJ. For weekends past the state line: the 2027 festivals we'd travel for.

Frequently asked questions
What should first-timers bring to Saguaro Man?
Everything you need to live for five days. Nothing is for sale once you reach Saguaro Man, and there are no vendors or sponsors, so pack your own food, water, shelter and supplies, plus warm layers for the nights, and carry every scrap home again. AZ Burners welcomes first-timers and points them to its 2026 Survival Guide and FAQ.
What is M3F's Art Lab?
Art Lab is M3F's free program for teenagers aged 13 to 17, meeting monthly to give young artists hands-on experience in music production, design and photography. It belongs to the festival's year-round Community Project, which also lists a desert nature walk and a run club. The festival returns to Steele Indian School Park on March 5–6, 2027.
How do you get to Country Thunder Arizona without driving?
Book a seat on the festival's partner shuttle, Stagecoach Express, which picks up in Mesa and Apache Junction, or pre-book an Uber or Lyft to AZ Talio Ranch in Florence, as the festival recommends. Country Thunder Arizona runs April 8–11, 2027, and RFID wristbands arrive by mail and need activating before you leave home.
