Beyond Wonderland Gorge Outfits 2027: What to Wear in George, Washington

|Magus Fawn

In the last week of June, the sun over the Gorge doesn't set until nearly nine. That leaves hours of long, low light across the lawn, and a river canyon below it that turns from blue to silver to black while the bass carries on.

Picture the slope at sundown: glitter catching the last gold light, flower crowns, sequined bodysuits and a few flags lifted over the crowd. Everyone dressed for the afternoon sun. The best-dressed also packed for the hours after dark.

Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge 2027 is set for June 25–27 at the Gorge Amphitheatre, 754 Silica Rd NW, George, Washington, on the official Beyond Wonderland PNW site. Friday is a separately ticketed preparty in the main venue; Saturday and Sunday are the festival days. It's 18 and over, and the campgrounds open on Thursday.

Magus and Lylyth here, the two Los Angeles artists who draw every Magus Fawn print. Our plan for that weekend is simple: light pieces for the long afternoon, then a hooded layer that plays a part in the Alice story once the canyon cools.

Quincy's June normals: 81°F by day, 55°F before dawn

Warm in the afternoon, cool after dark. The festival lands in the first week of summer, and the 1991–2020 climate normals NOAA keeps for nearby Quincy, Washington, put the afternoon high near 81°F and the overnight low near 55°F. That's a 26-degree slide from the afternoon sets to the hour before sunrise.

Day Normal high Normal low
Friday, June 25 (preparty) 81.2°F 55.0°F
Saturday, June 26 81.5°F 55.2°F
Sunday, June 27 81.8°F 55.4°F

These daily normals come from NOAA's thermometer in Quincy, the closest one to the amphitheatre with a 30-year temperature record, roughly 11 miles off (NCEI station USC00456880, read October 29, 2026).

The monthly normals show how dependably the nights cool: about 26 of June's 30 lows fall below 60°F, and nearly 10 fall below 50°F. The whole month brings under half an inch of rain (0.45 inches), and the hours and info page says the show goes on rain or shine.

Light matters as much as temperature. By the method of NOAA's Solar Calculator, the sun sets close to 9 p.m. that weekend and rises around 5:05 a.m. In 2026 the music ran from 3 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.: roughly six hours of sun, then four and a half of dark. Dress for both halves.

A Wonderland born on a river: the Dream Weaver Green cloak

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland began on the water. Lewis Carroll first told the story on 4 July 1862, while rowing up the river Isis from Oxford to Godstow with the three Liddell sisters, Alice among them, according to Wikipedia. A Wonderland on a river canyon deserves a cloak with water running through it.

Woman in sunglasses and gold necklaces in golden backlight, wearing the Dream Weaver Green festival cloak unzipped, hood up, over a green sequined bodysuit: a waterfall and temple spires down the sleeve, a violet-winged bird near the cuff

The Dream Weaver Green festival cloak ($250) is a jungle temple in emerald, jade and olive. Down the sleeve, a waterfall spills past stone spires, and a bird with violet wings and a plum-colored body lifts off just above the cuff. Zipped, as in the photo at the top, the front shows a wildcat face with amber eyes, halved by the zipper, with a spray of violet feathers by one pocket. It suits the Gorge's own cast: the festival counts Leopard Ladies and Formal Foxes among its characters.

Wear it unzipped over a bodysuit at sundown, then close it once the canyon air settles. The festival's health and wellness page has a tip for anyone in a cozy layer: "If you choose to wear heavy fabrics and faux furs, remember to stay hydrated." Free refill stations make that easy.

Queen's Valley in full sun: three pieces for the biggest stage

Queen's Valley is the main stage, the biggest the Gorge has ever hosted according to the official stages page, with house, bass house and dubstep on the bill. In 2026 the music there started at 3 p.m., in the strongest sun of the day. Think bare arms, a brim and pockets.

Bare arms. The Summon of Light cotton sleeveless hoodie ($80, XS–5XL) is among our newest designs, added in October 2026. A violet figure with branching horns sits cross-legged on the chest, palms pressed together above a small glowing sphere, while mint-green circles of sacred geometry open behind its head like a halo on black. The cotton stays airy through a hot afternoon, and you can raise the hood whenever the sun swings around behind you.

Smiling woman with braids and rhinestone face gems at a festival, wearing the Ophanim Green snapback: an emerald starburst around a pale glowing orb on a green crown, with a dark brim

A brim. The Ophanim Green snapback ($40) carries an emerald starburst around a pale, glowing orb, with green flower-of-life geometry behind it. Ophanim is Hebrew for "wheels," the wheels of Ezekiel's chariot vision (Wikipedia). The flat brim is the simplest shade you can carry onto the lawn; it's one size with a snap band, in 150 g/m² polyester.

Man at a sunny festival in the Dreamweaver men's cargo shorts: an amber-eyed wolf in aqua and violet, a glowing stepped pyramid, a waterfall spilling past temple ruins and a violet-blue dragon on electric blue, with beaded bracelets

Pockets. The Dreamweaver men's cargo shorts ($65; $70 in 4XL and 5XL) carry the river idea down to the knee. On one leg, an amber-eyed wolf in aqua and violet stares out above a glowing stepped pyramid. The second leg shows a waterfall pouring past temple ruins while a violet-blue dragon climbs the side, all on electric blue. It's the same Dream Weaver design as the cloak, shifted from jungle green to river blue. The cargo pockets take a phone, earplugs and sunscreen, the polyester (190 g/m²) has the hand of light denim, and a single button closes the waist. Regular fit, S to 5XL.

The 2026 item list allowed empty reusable bottles and personal misting fans (bottle up to 1.5 liters, empty at the gate), and refill stations are free.

Mad Hatter's Castle, Caterpillar's Garden and the long blue hour

After sundown, Mad Hatter's Castle hands the night to Bassrush (dubstep, trap and bass) and Caterpillar's Garden to Insomniac Records and house. The air is heading for the 60s, then the 50s, so cover your legs before your shoulders.

Woman with flying braids and green-lens sunglasses at a festival stage in the Angel Catcher green yoga leggings: neon green star medallions, feathered shapes and a honeycomb lattice on charcoal, with black boots

Full-length color. The Angel Catcher green yoga leggings ($70, XS–XL) glow neon green on charcoal: feathered wing shapes spread across a honeycomb lattice on each hip, and a star sits inside a ring on each knee. The knit is microfiber, 225 g/m² by the listing, a quarter of it elastane and the rest recycled poly. It stretches in every direction, under a raised waistband made for long sets. Keep them off rough seating, which can snag the knit.

Glowing costumes, LED poi and LED hoops were all welcome on the 2026 list, so switch on whatever you wired up.

Beyond the looking glass: the Angel Catcher Light Teal cloak

The festival says its cast comes to life "beyond the looking glass," a nod to Carroll's sequel, Through the Looking-Glass, from 1871. By the time the music stops at 1:30 a.m. (the 2026 closing time), the canyon is sliding toward 55°F, and a second cloak earns its place in the crew.

Back view of a woman with blonde braids at a festival stage in the Angel Catcher Light Teal women's festival cloak: pale aqua and seafoam under fine white and teal lines, a teal hexagon around an aqua-to-violet Flower of Life, navy six-pointed stars

The Angel Catcher Light Teal women's festival cloak ($250) is the cool counterpart to the Dream Weaver's jungle. Its whole back is drawn in fine white and teal linework over pale aqua and seafoam, crossed by starbursts with coral sparks. In the middle, a teal hexagon frames the Flower of Life, its lattice shading from aqua at the edges to violet in the center. Cobalt spirals fan out to the left and right, and a navy six-pointed star stands guard above it and below. Seen across the lawn, it could pass for a window into deep water. Or a looking glass.

The art differs; the build doesn't. Micro-mink forms the outside (200 g/m² per the listing), and the faux fur inside is black or white; you choose at checkout. Thick cords draw the hood close, and two zipper pulls ride up the center. Two pockets are deep and open to the outside; two more sit inside, and the zippered one is a safe spot for your ID. The size range is XS to 5XL, unisex, for men's and women's versions alike. Barbara's December 2023 review of her Chakra Mandala joggers sums up how our prints arrive in three words: "Exactly as pictured."

Fox Den to Royal Shipyard: a $150 blanket for camp

Every campground has a Wonderland name, from Fox Den and Cheshire Cove to Castle Crossing and Royal Shipyard, per the official camping page. That's where the hooded blanket belongs, since blankets were on the 2026 prohibited list inside the venue.

Our cat-eared hooded blankets cost $150 whatever the design. Each one is a roomy pullover sewn from 300 g/m² fleece, all polyester. It has a short collar zip, one generous pocket in front and two cat ears up top. There's just the one oversized 4XL, and it makes the rounds from tent to tent.

Bring it for the car line, too: the safety and rules page says campground entry can take two to three hours. After the music, quiet time is 2 to 8 a.m., and free showers are open from 7 a.m. to 5 a.m., per the campground features page. Castle Crossing and Royal Shipyard campers even get complimentary coffee and pastries.

The 2026 item list, read as a style guide

The item rules shape an outfit more than you'd expect. These come from the hours and info page, which still shows the 2026 edition, so check it again in spring.

  • Bags. Clear bags as large as 12 x 6 x 12 inches, small clutches as large as 6 x 9 inches, and hydration packs (two main pockets plus one small one at most), empty at the gate. Clutches pass whether they're clear or not, so a small bag can match the costume.
  • Queen of Hearts, take note. The prohibited list includes red-colored light-up wands, batons and lightsabers. Carry a red rose instead.
  • Totems. They can stand 10 feet tall if made from light materials like foam or PVC (no solid metal), on poles at most an inch across. Decorated pool noodles are the festival's own suggestion for getting through security easily, and inflatables go in deflated.
  • Also outside. Chairs, blankets, tents and large umbrellas, plus laser pointers, air horns, markers, aerosol cans and outside food and beverages. The full list is on that page.

Your order-by dates for the Gorge: May 11 and May 18

Mark Tuesday, May 11, 2027: order by then and your outfit reaches you with a week to spare before Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge. Tuesday, May 18 is the last call. Nothing is made ahead of time. Production starts with your order and runs 7 to 11 business days, then delivery adds 6 to 14.

The math works backward from Thursday, June 24, the business day just ahead of the Friday preparty. May 18 sits 25 business days before it, and May 11 sits 30 before it. Weekends don't count, and neither do Memorial Day (May 31) or Juneteenth, observed on Friday, June 18. Pitching your tent on Thursday? Start the count from Wednesday, June 23, and the last call becomes Monday, May 17. Our made-to-order timeline with 2027 order-by dates shows the method.

If a hoodie will live under the cloak, our FAQ suggests one size larger, or two when that layer is chunky. Sales are final on made-to-order pieces, so before checkout, send art@magusfawn.com a note with your measurements, and we'll suggest a size. Shipping inside the US is on us once a cart reaches $70, and a Canadian order ships internationally for $10 and up.

Between the last song and the sunrise

When the stages go quiet (1:30 a.m. in 2026), the path up from the amphitheatre fills with hoods, cat ears and a few glowing totems, and a campsite speaker somewhere plays one more song at personal-speaker volume. Around 5 a.m. the sun clears the plateau, and the Columbia shows itself again, pale and silver far below. Pack for both ends of that night, and every hour of it is yours to enjoy.

Frequently asked questions

How many days of music does Beyond Wonderland PNW have?

Two full festival days, Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, 2027, on 2-Day passes. Friday, June 25 brings a preparty in the main venue, which needs its own ticket plus a festival pass and wristband. The campgrounds open a day earlier, on Thursday, June 24, so campers can settle in before the first beat.

What music plays on each Beyond Wonderland Gorge stage?

Three stages split the sound, according to the official stages page. Queen's Valley, the main stage, mixes house, bass house and dubstep. Mad Hatter's Castle is the Bassrush stage, with dubstep, trap and bass. Caterpillar's Garden is hosted by Insomniac Records and sticks to house grooves, a good spot when you want room to move.

Which airport is closest to the Gorge Amphitheatre?

Pangborn Memorial Airport (EAT) in East Wenatchee is the closest, about 43 miles away, per the festival's airports page. Tri-Cities (PSC) is about 90 miles out, Spokane (GEG) about 137 and Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) about 155. Whichever you pick, plan on a drive into rural Central Washington, and keep a warm layer in the car.

Which costumes are banned at Beyond Wonderland PNW?

The 2026 prohibited list ruled out any costume made to look like a police, SWAT, fire, security or medical uniform, high-visibility vests included, along with gas masks and red-colored light-up wands, batons and lightsabers. Glowing or illuminated costumes, LED poi and LED hoops were on the acceptable list, so crowns, card suits and fox ears are fair game.

How big is a Fox Den campsite at Beyond Wonderland?

About 15 by 25 feet, enough for one tent and one vehicle, per the festival's camping FAQ. Cheshire Cove sites run about 18 by 35 feet, Castle Crossing about 18 by 40 and Acorn Village about 20 by 50. Fox Den spots take one vehicle and up to six people, and groups must arrive together to camp together.
