Dream Weaver Cloaks: Orange, Green, Purple and Every Colorway Compared

|Magus Fawn

Six friends wake in six tents from the same dream, and each one remembers it in a different color.

The wolf is always there, center back, ears up, eyes pale and steady. A small pyramid sits just under its chin. Temple spires rise behind it, and mirrored scrollwork pours down both sides to a round medallion at the hem. Only the color shifts, and the color shifts everything. In orange the wolf glows like a lantern. In green it melts into a forest. In purple it becomes something you half-remember from a trance set at the edge of sleep.

So choosing a Dream Weaver cloak, for yourself or for someone you love, comes down to one question: which version of the dream do they want to walk around in?

We're Magus and Lylyth Fawn, Los Angeles visionary artists. Below: the eleven cloaks we sell in this design, a color for every kind of friend, four close-ups, a blanket and a hoodie, and the Christmas cut-off.

Is the Dream Weaver cloak sold in purple, green and orange?

Yes, and in three more. Red, Yellow and Blue round out six Magus Fawn Dream Weaver colorways. That's eleven cloak listings in this guide, each one $250, sizes XS to 5XL. The wolf-and-temple artwork stays the same on all of them; the colors alone decide its mood.

Each colorway's listings show identical art, so choose the color first. Orange, Green and Purple each pair a men's listing with one that has no gender in its name, and all of them are a unisex fit.

Palette Men's Unlabeled or women's How the photos read
Orange Close-up below Dream Weaver Orange Festival Cloak Amber, copper and gold with burgundy shadows and magenta-violet curls
Green Dream Weaver Green Men's Festival Cloak Close-up below Lime and jade with silver-white highlights and violet flourishes
Purple Close-up below Dream Weaver Purple Festival Cloak Violet and lavender with bright white highlights and touches of periwinkle
Red Close-up below Men's listing only in this guide Plum, violet and dusky rose with lilac-silver highlights
Yellow Yellow Dream Weaver Men's Festival Cloak Dream Weaver Yellow Women's Festival Cloak Golden yellow and olive-chartreuse with small violet and magenta accents
Blue Blue Dream Weaver Men's Festival Cloak Dream Weaver Blue Women's Festival Cloak Cobalt, ice-blue and turquoise with violet accents

A word on Red: it photographs as plum and violet with a blush of rose, a jewel-toned cousin of Purple rather than a scarlet. If you love purple with a little warmth in it, that's your cloak. Trust the pictures over the names, and nothing about the cloak will surprise you except how soft it is.

The build beneath all six colors

Under every palette sits one Magus Fawn garment:

  • Outer: micro-mink poly, printed by dye sublimation, which bonds the ink into the fiber itself.
  • Lining: "ultra soft fluffy microfiber fleece" in black or white faux fur. A "Fur Lining" menu on each listing lets you choose. Listed fabric weight: 200 g/m².
  • Closing up: a double zipper runs up the front, and heavy drawstrings cinch the hood.
  • Pockets: two deep side pockets outside, and two stash pockets inside, one of them a vertical zipper pocket.
  • Fit and materials: unisex, XS to 5XL, and 100% vegan friendly.

For someone you love, that's the investment piece of their festival life: made to order, lined in the faux fur you choose, and printed so the wolf stays bright for years. Whether a cloak belongs in your life at all gets its own answer in our buyer's guide, Are Festival Cloaks Worth It?

Which Dream Weaver color matches their festival style?

Match the Magus Fawn Dream Weaver colorway to the light they love most. Orange suits the sunset chaser, Green the forest camper, Purple the trance dreamer, plum-toned Red the jewel-tone lover, Yellow the daytime color lover and Blue the winter raver.

  • Orange, for the golden-hour regular. The friend who times the whole day around the sunset set and wears rust and copper all autumn. House music day parties are its natural habitat (our house music festival guide sets the scene). Both Orange cloaks appear in our spring house love story, The Strawberry on the Wrong Hood.
  • Green, for the one who camps under trees. River swimmers, moss admirers, anyone whose favorite stage has roots. Spring and summer camping festivals.
  • Purple, for the mystic. Tarot on the nightstand, trance on the speakers. Purple is the colorway that looks most like a dream.
  • Red, for the jewel-tone lover. Plum reads rich under stage light and deep in the dark, and it suits the person who finds lavender a little too sweet.
  • Yellow, for the daytime dancer. Gold and chartreuse belong on a daytime psytrance floor (our psytrance festival outfit guide fills in the rest).
  • Blue, for the winter raver. Ice-blue and cobalt look like the season itself, from ski-town afters to January queues (our winter rave guide covers the layers). Blue and Yellow both wander through The Last Edition, our hot springs trance story.

No peek at their closet? Purple and Blue get along with black, grey and denim, which makes either one an easy call.

Four Dream Weaver cloaks in the spotlight

Each of these four has appeared in only one earlier post, so this is their turn.

Orange: a lantern for the long way home

Back of the Dream Weaver Orange men's festival cloak worn facing a festival stage: amber, copper and gold scrollwork around a glowing wolf-like face, magenta-violet curls at the shoulders and a medallion at the hem

The Dream Weaver Orange Men's Festival Cloak ($250, XS–5XL) looks lit by a lantern from inside. Amber and copper scrollwork climbs the back in mirrored arches, gold catches every highlight, and magenta-violet curls spiral off the shoulders like smoke with a sense of humor. The wolf at the center glows gold against burgundy shadows, with the pyramid under its chin and the medallion holding down the hem. In this photo it's worn with plum trousers and brown boots in front of a hazy stage, like the last hour of a long summer evening. Give it to the person who makes every sunset an event.

Green: the forest wolf

The Dream Weaver Green Festival Cloak ($250, XS–5XL) turns the same dream into a canopy. Lime and jade scrollwork unfurls like new ferns, silver-white highlights flicker through it like light between leaves, and violet flourishes bloom near the shoulders. Here it's worn open over an emerald bodysuit with layered chains, and the effect is part forest spirit, part festival royalty. From behind, as in the cover photo, the wolf's face sits right between the shoulder blades in pale green. Wrap it for the friend who knows every tree on the festival map.

Purple: the trance dreamer

Back of the Dream Weaver Purple men's festival cloak worn before a festival stage: violet and lavender scrollwork around a pale wolf-like face and pyramids, with violet hair and purple boots

The Dream Weaver Purple Men's Festival Cloak ($250, XS–5XL) looks the most like its name. Violet and lavender scrollwork swirls from hood to hem in the hue that surveys tie to magic and mystery, bright white highlights glint on the temple spires, and touches of periwinkle cool the edges. The wolf appears in pale lavender, almost moonlit. In the photo it meets violet hair, purple trousers and purple boots. Its sister listing, the Purple festival cloak in our table, appears in The Sand Loom, our beach trance story from the Oregon dunes.

Red, which reads as plum

Dream Weaver Red men's festival cloak worn hood up and open over a black mesh tank at a festival: plum, violet and dusky rose scrollwork with lilac-silver highlights

The Dream Weaver Red Men's Festival Cloak ($250, XS–5XL) photographs as plum, violet and dusky rose, with lilac-silver highlights tracing the scrollwork. Call it Purple's after-dark sibling: deeper, warmer, a little more velvet-rope. Hood up and worn open over a black mesh tank and silver chains, as here, it frames the face in jewel tones. On the back, the wolf and its pyramids glow mauve against darker plum. Choose it for the friend who wants purple with some heat in it, or for a winter Valentine's gift that skips the obvious red.

Two cozy Dreamweaver pieces in blue

Want the wolf off the dance floor too? Both companions carry the art in Dream Weaver's cobalt, ice-blue and violet palette.

For lazy mornings after the last set. The Hooded Blanket w/ Ears in Dreamweaver ($150) is an oversized fleece pullover with a cat-ear hood, a front quarter zip and an oversized front pocket, 300 g/m², one size (4XL). It's the generous gift when you can only guess at their measurements, and our hooded blanket guide explains why ravers live in them.

Front of the Dreamweaver cotton pullover hoodie on a white background: cobalt and ice-blue art with a wolf-like face, pyramids and temple columns, black drawstrings

For everyday wear. The Cotton Unisex Pullover Hoodie in Dreamweaver ($100) puts the wolf front and center on 100% cotton at 310 g/m², with a kangaroo pocket, a drawstring and a regular fit, sizes XS to 6XL. The listing notes 3–5% shrinkage after the first wash, so a cold wash and air dry keep it true. Under the Blue cloak, it makes a matching set.

Ordering a Dream Weaver cloak as a Christmas gift

  • The Christmas Eve cut-off. Your order starts the work: 7–11 business days of making, then 6–14 business days on the road. Place the order by Tuesday, November 17, 2026, and even the latest finish of both windows lands before Christmas Eve.
  • Saving it for spring? Order at least 25 business days before they pack for their first spring weekend.
  • Plan for a hoodie underneath. The FAQ's rule for outerwear: go a size larger, "sometimes even 2 sizes up to fit extra layers under." All Dream Weaver listings are unisex, so pick by color and size, not by the label.
  • One owner from the first stitch. Sales are final, with the exception of the EU's 14-day cooling-off period for unused items with tags on. Need a second opinion on size? Email measurements to art@magusfawn.com and we'll write back within a business day or two.
  • Shipping: no US shipping charge on a $250 cloak (the free threshold is $70); international starts at $10.

A friend of yours is about to become very easy to spot in a crowd. Choose their color, and let the dream do the weaving.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the Dream Weaver Red cloak look purple?

In its product photos, the Magus Fawn Dream Weaver Red men's cloak reads plum, violet and dusky rose with lilac-silver highlights rather than a true scarlet. It's the deepest, warmest member of the purple family, so choose it for someone who loves jewel-toned purple with a hint of rose.

What animal is on the Dream Weaver cloak?

A wolf-like face sits at the center of the Magus Fawn Dream Weaver cloak's back, with pointed ears and pale eyes. A small pyramid rests beneath its chin, temple spires rise behind it, and mirrored scrollwork flows down to a round medallion at the hem. The same face appears on all six colorways.

What does the color purple symbolize?

Surveys in Europe and the United States link purple most often with rarity, royalty, luxury, ambition, magic, mystery, piety and spirituality, according to Wikipedia. Its royal reputation began with Tyrian purple dye, made from sea snails and extremely expensive in antiquity. That mix of magic and majesty suits a purple festival cloak.
